The subject of research and development are theoretical and methodological foundations and practical recommendations on the priorities and means of information (including accounting) provision of economic security of the enterprise. Economic security in modern enterprise management systems has gradually taken a leading place among its other components. Constant negative trends in the activities of business entities encourage them to search for alternative methods of management and implementation of the economic security system in particular. The growing dynamism of the external environment has led to an increase in the volume of information, its differentiation and rapid change in utility. Each event carries an information burden, which can be taken into account at enterprises only by creating adequate accounting and analytical support for management decision-making based on a systematic approach. The aim of the work is to study and analyze in detail the role of the accounting system in generating information resources for the formation of the mechanism of economic security of enterprise in the modern environment, to identify the key challenges and problems that enterprises have to constantly deal with in ensuring their own economic security and to identify ways to eliminate them.
