It has been discovered for the first time that iron-deficiency anemia in pregnant women and premature chorial tree maturation lead to intensification of proliferative processes in trophoblast of chorial villi of the placenta. It has been found that in placentas with acute and chronic placental chorioamnionitis against the background of iron-deficiency anemia in pregnant women, collagen formation processes increase. A new classification of morphological variants of calcium deposits in the placenta with 14 separate variants has been developed.
