The purpose of the research: to determine the race-specific resistance of the starting material of millet against an artificial infectious background and to create high-yielding millet varieties with a short growing season (75 - 85 days), adapted to adverse environmental conditions in connection with climate change, complex resistance to soot and melanosis in combination with other economic and valuable features of the crop to increase grain production and improve its food and fodder qualities. Research methods: Field, laboratory, statistical. The main results of the research: according to the 2023 task stage, 14 promising numbers were distinguished in the control nursery of tests for productivity and signs of high technological qualities of grain (high weight of 1000 grains, reduced filminess, sphericity of the grain) and race-specific resistance to soot; 13 homozygous selection lines with economic and valuable traits were selected in the test nurseries, which combine a high level of productivity with traits of high technological qualities of grain, resistance to lodging and damage by soot, and in terms of a set of search traits, they are superior to the standard.  Product Description popup.authors Samborska Olena V. popup.nrat_date 2024-01-02 Close
