The purpose of the work is to study the topical issues of teaching methods of Ukrainian (Russian) languages in secondary schools, to improve the linguistic and linguistic-methodical training of future teachers, taking into account the reforms of the educational system and modern scientific research; the study of certain aspects of the implementation of the educational platform "New Ukrainian School" from the point of view of the teaching methodology of the linguistic and literary field of education, in particular, work on the students' assimilation of language theory and reading of literary works through the implementation of innovative technologies, as well as research in the field of the methodology of teaching the Ukrainian language for students inophones; research on the development of professional abilities of future primary school teachers, theoretical aspects and practical means of optimizing the process of teaching Slavic languages in universities and in school practice. Research methods: study and analysis of scientific literature on the researched problem, purposeful observation of the educational process in primary grades, generalization of the experience of implementing the considered trends in school practice, experimental method, descriptive method that conveys the results of the research. Theoretical and practical results: The work considered the possibilities of successful implementation of tasks in the linguistic and literary field of education (primary school), studied the possibilities of improving the language and speech training of secondary school students, improving the professional training of students in the process of teaching linguistic and methodical courses.
