AVIFAUNA, ORNITHOCOMPLEXES, NATURAL-ANTHROPOGENIC LANDSCAPES, GENESIS, SEASONALITY, CONSERVATION, UKRAINE The object of research is the bird fauna of Ukraine. The general purpose of research work is to study the current state and genesis of avifauna of some natural-anthropogenic landscapes of Ukraine in time and space in conditions of increasing anthropic impact on the environment. The work was carried out according to traditional methods used in environmental and faunistic research. Statistical processing, mapping and GIS technology elements were also used. The report covers achievements on six sections of the STD (2019-2023), that are following: historical origin and changes of breeding avifauna in the Forest and Forest-Steppe natural zones of Ukraine, studies of the current distribution of 23 species of the order Anseriformes in the territory of Ukraine and accumulation of information on their migrations, studies of the current state of avifauna of the Northern Black Sea region and the main stages of its evolution during the Pleistocene and Holocene, the features on birds habiting in the Southern Left Bank of Ukraine in winter and the role of the region in the process of migratory populations supporting, the role of the protected areas of different categories of the North-Western Priazovye in the birds conservation, study of the present state, ecology and distribution of the Strigiformes in the reserves and national nature parks of Ukrainian Carpathians.
