Samples UKR006:00870 Eurydice, UKR006:00873 Orpheus, UKR006:00871 Aurora, UKR006:00872 Southern Star were characterized by a "short" germination-full maturity period; UKR00:600872 Southern star - for the "great" height of the attachment of the lower bean above the soil level; UKR00:600871 Aurora - for "exclusively high performance". UKR006:00872 Pivdenna zorya and UKR00:600871 Aurora possessed a complex of economic and valuable traits. The selection process of creating new high-yielding varieties of cultivated soybeans (nursery: collection, hybrid F1 - F4, selection, control, ecological and competitive variety testing) was studied, the best combinations and promising lines for further selection were determined. In the hybrid nursery of the 4th generation (F4), the following combinations stood out for precociousness: 1216(8)95/Phaeton, Melpomena/Sprint, Chamomile/Jubileina, Yug30/Ustya. Among the hybrid combinations of the medium-ripening group in the F4 nursery, a number of lines for the complex of economic and valuable traits Silesia/Aratta, Lyubava/Themis, Silesia/Svyatohor, Donka/Danaya, including yield, exceeded the standard (314 g) by 83.0 -166.0 g. The mid-early lines of the control nursery Monarch/Phaeton, ID from Danai, Diona/Legend, Yug30/Phaeton produced the highest yield, which exceeded the standard variety by 0.16-0.40 t/ha. By yield, the varieties of the competitive variety test stood out: among the group of early maturing lines - 824(7)09, 798(9)11, 885(3)10, 785(4)13, 824(7)09, mid-early - 839(9)14, 885(3)10, 853(4)15, medium-ripe - 1954(1)04, 805(3)01, 877(8)14.
