The subject of scientific research is the theoretical and methodological aspects of state management of sustainable development in a multi-level management system. The object of scientific research is the institutional component of sustainable development management at the macro, meso, and micro levels. Research methods. The theoretical and methodological basis of the conducted research are the fundamental works of Ukrainian and foreign scientists. General scientific and special research methods are used: methods of analysis and synthesis, formalization, comparison and analogies - in the complex study of the problem; systemic approach - when studying the institutional support of state management of sustainable development, as a complex system with generally accepted determinants. The functional-structural method was used in the analysis of the activities of state administration bodies at different levels. The method of comparative analysis provided substantiation of the prospects for introducing the existing experience of the institutional foundations of sustainable development of territorial communities and spreading it into domestic practice. An analysis of documents (legislative acts, programs, regulations, statutes, etc.) was carried out to determine the institutional factors of state management of the sustainable development of socio-economic systems. The legal basis of the research is the laws of Ukraine, other national political and legal documents on the issues of state regulation of sustainable development.
