Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2 The object of research is the biological nature of the photoperiodic reaction of plant organisms as a manifestation of adaptive strategies in the control of plant growth and development processes. The goal of the project is to find out the methodological aspects of the study of the manifestation of photoperiodic sensitivity of plants using an integrated approach, taking into account genetic, physiological and biochemical parameters. Research methods - field, vegetative, laboratory experiments, methods of plant cell culture in vitro; cytological, biochemical, physiological, phenological, biotesting methods, statistical. It has been established that the most important factor that determines the rates of development, the course of assimilation processes, the formation of productivity and the biochemical composition of seeds, the functioning of the microbiota in the rhizosphere is the genotype of the cultivated soybean isoline. It was shown for the first time that the biological effects of growth and biosynthetic processes on the photoinductive effect of selective light depend on the photoperiodic response of plants and are manifested already at the early stages of their ontogenetic development. It has been demonstrated that the phytohormonal status of mature, formed leaves of NILs of common wheat correlates with their developmental rates. The conducted research can be a theoretical basis for improving the existing and developing new methods of regulating the production process of important agricultural plants. Research results are implemented in the educational process at the Faculty of Biology. 37 scientific and educational-methodological works were published, 12 qualification works of bachelors and masters of the department were successfully defended, 2 dissertations for obtaining the scientific degree of candidate of biological sciences, 1 work was submitted for defense for obtaining the title of Doctor of Philosophy.
