All coatings have a smooth surface without noticeable elemental segregation, and the columnar structure becomes denser with increasing bias voltage. The coatings possess a nanocomposite structure of amorphous-nanocrystalline silicides, which is in agreement with the results calculated based on three-phase prediction parameters. Among the coatings, the one deposited at a bias voltage of -50 V demonstrates optimal mechanical properties, including a nanohardness of approximately 15.2 GPa, scratch crack propagation resistance of 1042 N2, and a low wear rate of 5.4 × 10^-8 mm3N^-1m^-1. Additionally, annealing treatment reveals that the presence of hard silicides contributes to the coatings' super-hardness of approximately 24 GPa. These results confirm that the AlCrNbSiTi coatings can be considered as promising protective coatings with broad industrial application prospects.
