Objective – to study molecular-genetic markers of chronic inflammation associated with age and radiation exposure in the remote period after irradiation. Methods – immunological, molecular-genetic, cultural, analytical, statistical. Results. The age-associated changes in immunoreactivity were established in terms of the expression of differential and activation antigens of lymphocytes in clean-up workers and the servicemen of the AFU. The decrease in the relative level of IL-1β- and IFN-γ-producing lymphocytes was determined in clean-up workers, which correlates with the level of expression of NF-κB and the expression of the NFKB1 gene. An increase in the expression of the genes of pro-inflammatory cytokines TNF, IFNG and a decrease in the relative level of the expression of LC3B protein on autophagosomes in lymphocytes were established in clean-up workers and younger servicemen of the AFU. A decrease in the AAF indicator of lymphocytes was established in clean-up workers, in particular in persons irradiated with doses above 100 mSv, and a decrease in the expression levels of the autophagy regulator genes MTOR, PRKAA1, BECN1, MAP1LC3B was determined. A decrease in the RTL of leukocytes, which correlates with the level of NF-κB expression in clean-up workers, was determined. An increase in the expression of the TERT gene, which correlates with RTL, was established in clean-up workers and the servicemen of the AFU. These changes contribute to the accelerated acquisition of the senescence-associated secretory phenotype by cells and the development of chronic low-grade inflammation. The proteins LC3B, NF-κB and their regulatory genes, RTL indicators and TERT telomerase regulator gene expression levels were determined as cellular and molecular-genetic markers of inflammaging.
