Objective of the work - to improve the regulatory framework for educational publishing, which should include industry standards for material consumption and waste standards for the production of textbooks and educational (educational-methodical) guides. Research Methods - a systemic approach was used, within which the following methods were applied: comparative and content analysis, generalization, systematization (to substantiate the relevance and determine the state of the problem under study); comparison, interpretation, statistical analysis (to identify features of domestic and foreign processes in educational publishing); analytical and summary methods (for calculating consumption norms and waste standards for materials in the production of textbooks and educational guides and preparing reference information materials), graphical (for visual presentation of theoretical and methodological material), abstract-logical (for theoretical generalizations and research conclusions). To achieve the research objective, the following tasks were set and performed: Conducted an overview of the educational publishing market in Ukraine. Analyzed foreign experience, practices, and policies in educational publishing. Identified approaches to standardizing materials in the production of textbooks and educational (educational-methodical) guides. Determined the prerequisites for revising material consumption norms for the production of textbooks and educational (educational-methodical) guides. Developed consumption norms and waste standards for materials in the production of textbooks and guides for modern printing equipment.
