Nosological control group – 24 people who were irradiated within the natural background and were affected by COVID-19. Military servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine – 36 people, who, depending on experiencing COVID-19 in the anamnesis, were divided into 2 subgroups. Objective – to conduct a comprehensive clinical and laboratory examination of persons who suffered as a result of the accident at the Chornobyl nuclear power plant and were affected by COVID-19 to determine the combined impact of remote effects of ionizing irradiation and coronavirus infection on the condition of critical systems of the human body. Methods. Clinical examination and staging following the recommendations of the COVNET group (2020), clinical diagnostic, laboratory, immunological and statistical methods. Results. Severe disorders of the respiratory, cardiovascular, and nervous systems were found in clean-up workers, as well as, an increase in cases of moderate monocytosis. The frequency of cases of IIA heart failure is increasing in the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who have suffered from COVID-19, and persistent dysfunction of the cerebral cortex was detected. The degree of changes in the subpopulation distribution of lymphocytes, the cytokine profile, and the expression of inflammation-regulating genes tend to be more intense in the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine than in the clean-up workers who suffered from COVID-19. Clean-up workers who died as a result of COVID-19 had a chronic disease or several diseases that burdened the course of the coronavirus disease and contributed to the development of the fatal consequences. Implementation: 3 scientific publications (2 articles, 1 thesis), innovative technology. Product Description popup.authors Ilienko Iryna M. Belayev Oleh А. Bilyi David O. Bazyka Kostiantyn D.
