Registration Date 05-01-2024 Organization Ivan Franko National University of Lviv popup.description2  Physiological and biochemical properties of microorganisms isolated from rock dumps of coal mines of the Chervonograd mining district, Yavorivske Lake, lakes of infiltrates of the Lviv solid waste landfill were studied. The high biotechnological potential of isolated new strains of bacteria of the genera Ochrobactrum, Moorella, Geobacter, and Rhodopseudomonas has been proven. Multiple complementary models of the influence of chemical pollutants on the cells of bacteria have been created to predict the state of microbocenoses. Interrelationships were established between the processes of free radical damage of lipids and proteins, the indicators of the antioxidant defense system, the biomass accumulation by bacteria of the genera Rhodopseudomonas, Ochrobactrum, Chlorobium, Desulfuromonas, adapted to stress factors, and the concentration of CuSO4, CuCl2, K2Cr2O7, FeC6H5O7, and CoCl2 in the medium. It was shown that KI, NaCl, C6H4ClNO3, NaF, KBr inhibit the oxidation of NO2-, HS- or S2O32- by bacteria of the genera Thiocapsa, Lamprocystis and Chlorobium, and also affect the glycogen synthesis by Chlorobium limicola IMV K-8. The regularities of SO42-, S0, NO3- and NO2- reduction by Desulfovibrio sp. and Desulfuromonas sp. under the influence of Cr(VI), NaF, KBr have been established. It is shown that the intensity of organic compounds oxidation by exoelectrogenic strains Rhodopseudomonas yavorovii IMV B-7620 and C. limicola IMV K-8 determines the efficiency of electric current generation by them in MFC. The regularities of hydrogen production by R. yavorovii IMV B-7620 in the process of chemo- and photoheterotrophic growth were studied. In the Depository of microorganisms of the D. K. Zabolotny Institute of Microbiology and Virology of the NAS of Ukraine were registered two technologically promising strains of microorganisms: Ochrobactrum rhizosphaerae IMV B-7956 and Moorella thermoacetica IMV В-7957.
