Dominant and codominant molecular genetic systems of DNA markers were developed to detect the Gpc-B1 gene from the wild wheat dicotyledon Emer. This gene, introgressed into the genome of cultivated wheat, controls the sign of physiological aging of wheat plants, promotes the remobilization of nitrogen from the vegetative organs to the generative organs and thus causes a 3% increase in protein in the grain compared to the standard variety. With the use of this unique gene, the first and so far the only variety of winter wheat "Hlibodarka" in Ukraine was created, which was submitted to the State variety testing. The composition of alpha-amylase isozymes in the varieties of Ukrainian selection was determined and it was shown that the genotypes containing variants of the isoenzymes AbCD and ABcD are more resistant to pre-harvest germination of grain. The molecular biotechnology of RNA interference based on the use of short non-coding RNAs and the free proline catabolism gene to increase the tolerance of wheat to stresses caused by water deficit is substantiated. It is shown that the tolerance of transgenic lines of wheat with reduced proline dehydrogenase gene activity to water deficit is due to better photochemical efficiency of photosystem II during the grain filling period. Substitution of the rye locus on the wheat cluster in the short arm of the modified centric rye-wheat translocation 1RSm.1BL has a positive effect on the main selection characteristics of the baking quality of flour, and its combination with the Glu-B1al allele leads to a significant increase in three characteristics of the baking quality - protein content in the grain, indicators of sedimentation and grain hardnes.
