A new method of phase-shifting correlation speckle interferometry is proposed to assess the stress-strain state of the material under dynamic loads. An acousto-optic method for detecting internal defects in layered composite structures based on dynamic speckle images of the composite surface formed by a coherent optical system with subsequent isolation of the response from the area located above the defect has been developed. A model of a hybrid optical-digital system was created for the experimental testing. A methodology for the estimation of crumpling stresses in a multi-row riveted joint of metal plates using a non-contact method of determining surface deformations using modified correlation algorithms of digital image processing is proposed.
