The goal of the NDR is to develop new methods and technical means flaw detection of building structures and engineering structures, which are flat-layered multi-component environments with inclusions of various origins, to assess and predict their reliability. Research methods are theoretical, experimental, analytical research, methods of machine modeling and experimental planning. The results of the NDR are: the development of interaction models sounding signals with flat-layered media containing subsurface inhomogeneities; development of the principles of restoration of electrophysical parameters of spatially inhomogeneous environments, the method of positioning and identification of subsurface inhomogeneities, which is based on the properties of the probing electromagnetic field with a variable state of polarization; development of algorithms and software for modeling the propagation of sounding signals, primary processing and interpretation of GPR sounding results, positioning and identification of subsurface inhomogeneities; substantiation of requirements for ground-penetrating radar equipment and parameters of antenna systems; development and production of the layout of the antenna system to solve the tasks of flaw detection; development of the procedure for assessing the reliability of structures with subsurface inhomogeneities, which is based on the results of modeling the stress-strain state of flat-layered media with local integrity violations, the theory of reliability and the theory of risk.
