The purpose of the work is to analyze the problems of developing the Ukrainian national idea as a factor in the consolidation and realization of the Ukrainian political nation. The theoretical and methodological development of the Ukrainian national idea has gone through a thorny path from a mythologized perception of the world to the development of a rational national and historical consciousness. It can be more or less confidently stated that for the Ukrainian ethnic group this process, which began at the end of the 17th - at the beginning of the 18th century. in a mythologized form, having reached discursive thinking, to its rational forms, embracing the 19th - 20th centuries, continues to this day, as Ukraine is in the global challenges of time. The research paper analyzed the axiological problems of the Ukrainian national idea as a factor in the consolidation and realization of the Ukrainian political nation, in particular the following issues were considered: — academic integrity and modern higher education in terms of regulatory and legal transformations in Ukraine (chapter 1); — formation of new basic competencies in mastering new technologies in order to achieve a competitive advantage in the digital world in the teaching of disciplines of the humanitarian cycle (chapter 2), — problems of the grammar of the Ukrainian language (chapter 3); — museological aspects of the study of architecture and building traditions of the Dnieper region (chapter 4); — the principles and directions of the social and economic policy of tsarism in the Dnipro region of the second half of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
