The investigations were carried out entirely in the Odessa and Kherson regions. Analysis of changes in temperature and climate conditions in the monitored territory for the period: 1986-2015 (this is the “new” climatic norm, adopted as the base period) for the materials provided in the new Agroclimatic Report of Ukraine, and for the period 2021-2050 for climatic scenarios of climate change RCP4.5 and RCP8.5. The RCP4.5 scenario is considered a stabilization scenario, and RCP8.5 is a scenario with even high levels of greenhouse gas emissions. The indicators of thermal and water regimes covered by two scenarios in the period up to 2050 will differ from similar values of the base period. There will be no immediate changes in the temperature regime; instead, there will be a change in the amount of precipitation. It is also expected that the amount of rainfall will change during the warm period, which will cause an increase in the dryness of the territory. Currently, the territory is already characterized as moderately dry; by 2050, according to both scenarios, the territory of Ukraine will move to the category of severely dry. The conducted research on the expected changes in agroclimatic conditions by 2050 can serve as a basis for the development of appropriate recommendations for adapting the cultivation technologies of the leading crops of the southern regions to future climate changes, mitigating the impact of these changes on crops and obtaining high and stable harvests.
