A comparative analysis of nanocomposite materials regarding the effectiveness of protection against neural radiation was carried out. An analysis of the features of environmentally safe materials for the synthesis of Gd-containing neutron-absorbing nanocomposites based on them was carried out. A critical analysis of the effectiveness of existing technologies for creating Gd-containing neutron-absorbing materials was performed. A hierarchical approach and an algorithm for its implementation have been developed to create new environmentally friendly, non-toxic, biocompatible materials based on natural components for protection against neutron radiation from various sources. On the basis of this technology, gadolinium-containing films of chitosan, lignin and nanocellulose have been synthesized, which have high neutron-absorbing properties, meet modern safety requirements, which allows them to be used for effective protection of personnel and equipment at the facilities of the nuclear-industrial complex, as well as for biomedical purposes while treating patients. On the basis of this technology, an appropriate methodology has been prepared that can be used for training and improving the qualifications of specialists in the field of radiation safety.
