It was established that of the total area of surveyed lands (3756.3360 ha), 50.6% have a density of 137 Cs pollution up to 5 Ki/km2; 33.1% are polluted within 5-10 Ki/km2; 2.5% - within 10-15 Ki/km2. The results of the research make it possible to return to agricultural use 86.2% of the surveyed lands, and 13.8% - to be used for the production of seeds of perennial grasses or afforestation. All investigated plant products, except for lupine seeds, did not exceed permissible levels of radionuclides. Developed scientific and practical recommendations for optimizing land use of radioactively contaminated land that is returned to agricultural use after rehabilitation.
