The purpose of the study is to improve the effectiveness of treatment of patients with congenital combined cleft lip and palate by improving surgical treatment methods. The object of the study is congenital unilateral combined clefts of the upper lip and palate. The subject of the study is the evaluation of the effectiveness of complex treatment of children with congenital unilateral combined clefts of the upper lip.  Clinical and anthropometric indicators of the upper lip, nose, cellular process of the upper jaw, indicators of microcirculation on fragments of the upper lip and cellular process of the upper jaw in children with congenital unilateral combined cleft lip and palate were studied. The study of these indicators was carried out before and after surgical intervention. The relationship between the obtained data of laboratory studies (blood sialic acids, the ratio of neutrophil granulocytes, lymphocytes and blood monocytes, 17-ketosteroids in urine and the content of lysozyme in mixed saliva) and the number of wound healing complications in the postoperative period in patients with congenital unilateral combined upper cleft lips A molecular genetic study was also conducted to find out the degree of disturbance in the body of a child with congenital unilateral combined cleft lip and palate. On the basis of the conducted studies, the indications for this intervention were substantiated. Practical value, implemented in the practice of a dental surgeon and a maxillofacial surgeon in the methodology of surgical interventions in the restoration of the upper lip in children with this pathology.
