The purpose of the work is to create the basis of the technology of rapid sintering of metal-ceramic materials with a fine-grained structure and a non-porous state, by means of continuous high-speed heating of compacts from a mixture of powders of a refractory compound and a metal bond in the field of a temperature gradient. The problem of obtaining high-density metal-ceramic materials with a controlled size of submicron grains and a minimum amount of metallic bonds was solved by implementing a high-performance technique of high-speed sintering in a temperature gradient field. The proposed technology for the production of metal-ceramic materials for drawing, cutting tools, as well as armor-piercing cores by rapid compaction of powder blanks in the field of a temperature gradient. A new consolidation sintering method of WC–Co hard alloy is proposed, which consists in sintering a pre-pressed porous blank: (1) moving at a given speed through an induction heating zone of a given temperature and (2) rotating at a given speed and being heated by an electron beam. It was established that such high-speed zonal sintering in the presence of a liquid phase does not lead to an increase in the size of carbide grains, and even leads to their grinding.  Product Description popup.authors Bezdorozhev Oleksiy V.
