On the one hand - increased productivity, on the other - increased risks of diseases causing stress for common chickpea plants. Therefore, when growing common chickpeas on irrigated lands, it is necessary to conduct selection for resistance to diseases and against lodging. 27 chickpea samples of domestic and foreign breeding were evaluated adapted to irrigation. Records and observations were made in the collection room the nursery was allowed to select chickpea plants with compact forms (industry is weak – 3 points) - UD0500102 Luhanets (UKR), UD0500195, Krasnokutsky 28 (RUS); specimens with erect plant form - UD0500417 Delicious (UKR); UD0500066 Krasnokutsky 195 (RUS), UD0500444 Dniprovsky tall (UKR) and number resistant to lying down (7 points) - UD0500429 Colorite (UKR). The best sample in terms of attachment height was determined lower bean (more than 20 cm, which corresponds to 7 points) - UD0500444, Dniprovskyi tall and UD0500102 Luhanets (UKR).
