The purpose of the work is to reproduce the system of terms and concepts that have been used in the Ukrainian theater since its origins for more than ten centuries and to reconstruct the features of Ukrainian theater culture and the dynamics of its changes on the basis of the register of theatrical terminology. The main result of the implementation of the GDR is the first publication in the history of domestic cultural research "Theatrical culture of Ukraine: materials for a historical dictionary", which chronologically covers a period of more than ten centuries: from the beginnings of the ancient Russian chronicle tradition (XI century) to the present day. The appearance of new theatrical terms was recorded and traced through periodicals, dramatic works, journalistic and epistolary heritage, which is important not only for studying the creativity of stage actors of this period and their views on theatrical art and drama technique, but also for clarifying ideas about the past of Ukrainian and world theater. The structure of the GDR consists of two parts, work on which continued in parallel. The first part is the creation of the edition "Theatrical culture of Ukraine: materials for a historical dictionary" with a volume of 97 prints. sheet, consisting of: 1) Preface, which contains the scientific-theoretical, historical and archeographic justification of the research (2.5 printed sheets); 2) Materials for the dictionary of theatrical vocabulary for 8407 dictionary entries (84 printed sheets); 3) A list of 3,660 sources for the years 1068–2021 (11 printed sheets). The second part of the NDR presents scientific and methodological support.
