The purpose of the work: to study the peculiarities of the hydrochemical regime formation of the of small reservoirs in the urbanized area under changes in weather conditions, increasing the role of ground power, etc.; establishment of cause-and-effect changes in the formation of the hydrochemical regime of small reservoirs in the urbanized area and substantiation of recommendations for improving the quality of the aquatic environment. Research methods: titrimetric, ionometric, spectrophotometric and photometric, chemiluminescent, ion exchange chromatography. Results: on the example of the Opechen’ system lakes, Kyiv City, and the Irpin’, Bucha, Rokach rivers and ponds within the Bucha, Irpin’ and Gostomel cities, the peculiarities of the formation of their hydrochemical regime under changes in weather conditions, anthropogenic influence, intensity of interactions in the "bottom sediments - water" system were established. Lakes of the Opechen system are characterized by temperature and oxygen stratification. The formation of anaerobic zones in the bottom horizon leads to secondary pollution of the aquatic environment, and reducing conditions contribute to a decrease in their self-purification ability. In them, the concentration of ammonium nitrogen, inorganic phosphorus, manganese, and iron significantly increases, and the process of their detoxification slows down. The arrival of untreated municipal wastewater causes a high content of biogenic and organic substances in the water bodies of the cities of Bucha, Irpin’, and the village of Gostomel and creates prerequisites for increasing the level of their eutrophication. The obtained results are an important scientific basis for assessing the role of environmental factors in the formation of the hydrochemical regime of water bodies in urbanized areas, and the development of scientifically based practical measures for their "rehabilitation".
