The purpose of the work is to justify, based on simulation, the means of passive protection of infrastructure objects of the «Vernadsky» station, which are operated in hard-to-reach places under the influence of significant natural loads. The research methodology consisted in the use of methods and means of finite element modeling and analysis in combination with an incremental and iterative strategy. An analysis of wind rose and processes of snow transport by air currents around the «Vernadsky» station was carried out. The means of passive protection of the infrastructure objects of the «Vernadsky» station against wind and snow loads have been justified and developed. Appropriate geometric models have also been developed for the research. Simulation modeling of the infrastructure elements of the «Vernadsky» station was carried out with and without means of passive protection against wind and snow loads. The algorithmic component of the automated fuel leak prevention system was improved by developing algorithm and software for recognition, as well as the reliability analysis of multi-class recognition of the current technical condition of tanks based on a physical model.
