Registration Date 10-01-2024 Organization State Institution "National Research Centre For Radiation Medicine of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" popup.description2 In patients with breast cancer (BC), receiving neoadjuvant polychemotherapy (NAPCT), affected by the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. Structural changes in the thyroid gland were diagnosed in 85.3%, functional in 29.4%. In women with breast cancer, it is necessary to conduct a screening study for the presence of structural and functional changes in the thyroid gland. Changes in reproductive panel markers were found in 23.5% of patients. Changes in estradiol in 8.8%, progesterone downwards below the lower limit in 5.9%. In 2.9% of patients, the progesterone value was above the upper limit of the norm. Prolactin changes above the norm were found in 5.9% of patients. Digital Ki-67 values before treatment were on average 50%. As a result of treatment under the influence of NAPCT, they decreased by 1.5-5.4 times and after treatment in the removed tumor were below 20%. Before the start of NAPCT, 97.1% of patients had metastatic lesions of the lymph nodes (LN). As a result of the treatment, the absence of LV damage was confirmed morphologically in 44.1% of patients. Positive dynamics of NAPCT affected by liver metastases was recorded in 52.9% of patients. Luminal B HER-2/neu-negative phenotype changed to Luminal A in 44.1% of patients as a result of NAPCT.
