Objective: to establish the dependence of the influence of food quality on morbidity and mor-tality of the working-age population living in ecologically hazardous areas. Research methods: theoretical analysis of scientific literature; medical and statistical expert as-sessment, mathematical calculations. Based on morbidity and mortality rates, as well as ingredient deficiencies, an algorithm for de-termining the correlation between essential food substances and sources of their intake with the daily diet of the working-age population has been developed. The level of alimentary-dependent morbidity by classes of diseases, groups of diseases and individual nosological forms was ana-lyzed in accordance with ICD-10 for 2019–2021, taking into account age, gender, due to the nu-tritional status of the working-age population living in ecologically hazardous areas. Priorities include diseases of the circulatory system, including diseases characterized by high blood pres-sure, coronary heart disease, as well as diseases of the digestive system, including diseases of the esophagus, stomach and duodenum, gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis and duodenitis, liver diseases, diseases of the gallbladder, biliary tract and pancreas. It was found that the highest mortality rates among men and women over 40 years old were in 2021 from diseases of the cir-culatory system (class IX) and coronary heart disease – 20.5% (35 people per 171 cases) and 41.1% (23 people per 56 cases) and 17.3% (99 people per 572 cases) and 23.7% (50 people per 211 cases), respectively.
