The approach consists of a combination of experiment (Fermi spectroscopy with recognition algorithms) and theoretical calculations to identify the key characteristics of this structure that determine the functional properties of materials. A number of original results were obtained using this approach: For the first time, a superconducting quantum interferometer based on the Josephson junction between a single-gap (niobium) and a two-gap (ferro-pnictide) superconductor with the effect of intensional filtering of the tunneling supercurrent was created, which provides a new tool for phase-sensitive studies of superconducting condensate and opens the way to the smart engineering of new quantum devices in inverse space. The algorithms for finding superconductors with higher critical temperatures and topological properties promising for quantum applications have been improved, based on a combination of such characteristics as the nesting of Fermi surfaces and Van Hove singularities, proximity to the Lifshitz transition, and the sign-changing order parameter. New multiband effects in the microcontact and tunneling characteristics of Mo-Re films were first detected and studied, and direct evidence for the formation of two superconducting energy gaps was obtained.
