The purpose of the work is to develop methods of litter regeneration for its repeated use, to study the bio- and ecological safety and economic efficiency of using regenerated litter in the breeding and keeping of poultry. Research methods - zoohygienic, zootechnical, statistical, economic. 2 methods of regeneration of poultry litter have been developed, which ensure the intensification of biothermal processes during its composting, the reduction of insemination of the litter by enterobacteria by 1.1 log10, fungi by 2-5 times. It was established that when using litter regenerated according to the developed methods when growing repair young chickens and turkeys and turkeys of the parent flock, the content of ammonia and carbon dioxide in the air of the poultry house increases, which, however, does not exceed the MPC. The use of such bedding also does not have a negative effect on the welfare of the bird and its zootechnical indicators. At the same time, the costs associated with bedding are reduced: when growing repair young chickens and using the 1st method of regeneration by 1.6 times, the 2nd method of regeneration by 2 times; when growing repair young turkeys, respectively, in 3.7 and 4.1 times; when keeping adult turkeys in 6.4 and 7.8 times. The economic effect of using regenerated litter instead of new litter per head. It consists of: when rearing repair young chickens on litter regenerated according to the first method, UAH 4.31, according to the second method - UAH 6.55; when growing repair young turkeys, respectively, UAH 19.59. and UAH 15.97; for keeping adult turkeys - UAH 58.49-109.69. and UAH 133.97-185.17, respectively.
