The purpose of the work is to investigate the biological mechanisms of the formation of adaptive capacity and the level of manifestation of polygenic traits while preserving the gene pool in small closed poultry populations under the influence of macro- and micronutrients. Research methods - various methods of analysis: zootechnical (determination of productive and reproductive qualities of poultry); ecological and genetic (study of adaptive capacity); economic (calculation of economic efficiency); systemic. The directions of the formation of adaptive ability during the breeding of repair young chickens of gene pool populations and the maintenance of adult birds under the influence of nutrients have been determined. The diversity of gene pool populations of chickens of different productivity areas was established by the indicators of adaptive capacity and their ranking was carried out, which allows their further involvement in various selection and technological programs of poultry breeding. A comprehensive analysis of ways to ensure high-quality feeding while preserving gene pool groups of poultry by step-by-step control of the supply of nutrients was made. Methodical recommendations on the use of nutrients in poultry feeding for the formation of the genetic structure and adaptive capacity of gene pool groups of poultry for long-term storage have been prepared. Prognostic assumptions regarding the development of the object of research - preservation of the gene pool of poultry of various types of domestic selection, improvement of its productive potential, comprehensive assessment by methods of population genetics.
