The "Methodology of quantitative assessment of morphometric characteristics of dispersed systems" has been improved using an image analysis algorithm, which is based on quantitative analysis of structure parameters, statistical processing and visualization of the obtained results using special computer programs for the use of composites in water treatment technologies. The reliability of the obtained results was confirmed by the methods of optical and electron microscopy, infrared spectroscopy, and standard analytical methods. The morphological features of the obtained polyfunctional materials were investigated using digital image analysis methods. To adjust the precision ability of filter materials, a new methodology of additive forming of composite material with adjustable arrangement of structural elements is used. The use of 3D technologies for prototyping and manufacturing filter elements of treatment facilities will allow them to be easily scaled depending on the volume and the type of pollution. An algorithm for the technological process of creating chemisorption composite materials based on waste chemical fibers filled with clay powders is proposed. The introduction of highly dispersed particles of adsorbent fillers into fibrous materials will allow combining absorption and filtering properties, which will increase the efficiency of wastewater treatment from heavy metal ions. An engineering model of the complex water purification process was developed as a complex of engineering and technical measures aimed at increasing the efficiency of the water purification process using fibrous materials with sorption and filtering properties.
