Registration Date 15-01-2024 Organization Danylo Halytsky Lviv National Medical University popup.description2  This project examines the Ukrainian and Austrian affiliation to joint European medical history, scientific networking and academic culture. Students and researchers of numerous European origins gained knowledge at universities throughout the Habsburg Empire creating scientific networking within it. We will establish a new understanding of how this scientific networking operated and affected research, teaching, architectural designs and the medical system, particularly amongst modern-day Ukraine and Austria, before this connection was lost with the dissolution of the Empire. Our case study deals with Henryk Kadyi, Professor of Anatomy in Lviv. His mobility is affected and shows developments at several Habsburg universities (Vienna, Cracow, Prague, Lviv). Moreover, due to his European scholarly biography, he serves as an ideal example of the tradition of scientific connections between what is nowadays the European Union and Ukraine. This research will show the fruitful connections between Ukraine and Europe in scientific, academic and medical aspects. With common history to explore, we wish to use it to build a shared future based on these values. Product Description popup.authors Mateshuk-Vatseba Lesia R. Uliana Y.
