Methods of obtaining extracts based on the studied plant raw materials were developed, biotechnological, phytochemical and pharmacological research of the obtained extracts was carried out, and prospects for the development of the composition of the substance with different directions of action were determined. Aspects of modern pharmaceutical development of a new medicinal product based on plant extracts are analyzed. Data from literary sources on botanical characteristics, distribution area, method of harvesting, content of biologically active substances, pharmacological properties and use of Caltha palustris L., Pulsatilla alba, Ranunculus acris L., Phlomis pungens Willd. and Ficaria verna Huds. in pharmacy and medicine. Phytochemical and pharmacological studies were carried out using water-ethanol extracts of the studied plant material. The influence of certain factors (the degree of crushing of raw materials, the nature of the extractant, the ratio between the amount of raw materials and the extractant, as well as the extraction time) on the yield of biologically active substances and extractive substances from the studied plant material was investigated. A phytochemical study of extracts was conducted. The quantitative content of phenolic compounds, flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, coumarins, and saponins was investigated by permanganatometry, complexonometry, and spectrophotometry methods. Evaluation of the qualitative composition of the studied extracts for the content of phenolic compounds and flavonoids was performed by thin-layer chromatography and high-performance liquid chromatography. The acute toxicity of the extracts was studied. The investigated water-ethanol extracts' antioxidant, antimicrobial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory activity, and hepatoprotective effect were studied.
