The goal of the work is the development of a holistic concept of legislative stimulation of the development of alternative energy in Ukraine, as well as the development of a draft law aimed at implementing the proposed concept. A wide range of methods of scientific knowledge was used: general scientific and separate scientific methods of knowledge, in particular, the method of system-structural analysis, historical, comparative-legal method, method of interpretation of legal norms, etc. On the basis of the identified trends in the development of domestic and foreign scientific doctrine and legislation in the field of alternative energy, conclusions have been drawn about ways to improve legislative support for the use of alternative energy sources in Ukraine. Taking into account the scientific-theoretical and practical results, program and regulatory project documents aimed at the implementation of the ideas substantiated in the research have been prepared.
