The purpose of the scientific research is to reveal new knowledge about patterns and trends in the social expectations of modern student youth in the cities and villages of Ukraine through monitoring, and to carry out their regional and gender analysis. Object of research: social expectations of student youth. The subject of the study: organizational conditions for monitoring the social expectations of schoolchildren. Research methods. theoretical - study of the source base, with the aim of determining the theoretical foundations of the chosen topic, substantiation of the conceptual approach, development of diagnostic tools; systematization and classification of empirical information; methods of comparative analysis, interpretation and generalization of facts); empirical - pilot experiment, monitoring, study, analysis and generalization of materials; statistical - methods of mathematical statistics and processing of research results, monitoring of the implementation of scientific research results. Scientific novelty: that for the first time a complete socio-pedagogical study of the social expectations of modern student youth was carried out, the results of which were analyzed taking into account gender and regional characteristics; developed diagnostic techniques; defined, substantiated and tested organizational conditions for monitoring social expectations of modern youth; from the standpoint of social pedagogy, the essence of the concepts "social expectations of youth", "social orientations of modern youth", "family-oriented expectations of youth", "value orientations of youth" has been clarified; a comprehensive study of the problems of personality socialization and social education gained further development.
