The subject of the research is the method of integrated teaching of geography and economics with the help of elective courses. The purpose of the study was to substantiate the methodological foundations of the integration of the content of geographic and economic education and their implementation in elective courses in gymnasiums and lyceums. During the third final stage, during which the research results are summarized and implemented, it was proven that the improvement of the integrated content in elective courses and teaching methods in geography and economics contributes to the emergence of students' interest in studying these subjects; the use of integration technology, which ensures the integration of multi-subject knowledge and skills, various types of activities at the level of integrated elective courses that combine geography and economics, increases the motivation of students to study subjects; it is substantiated that the results of scientific research contribute to the implementation of the main provisions of the New Ukrainian School; the results of scientific research are implemented in the practice of general secondary education institutions, which is confirmed by certificates of implementation; methodical recommendations are provided to teachers regarding the organization of elective courses with an integrated component; the monograph "Theoretical and methodological principles of the integration of the teaching content of geography and economics in gymnasiums and lyceums" and the methodical manual "Methodology for the development and implementation of integrated elective courses in geography and economics in gymnasiums and lyceums" were published.
