Object of research - winter wheat, soil, parasitic phytonematodes, oat cyst nematode (Heterodera avenae Woll., 1924) Krall et Krall. Purpose - To improve the system of phytosanitary monitoring of oat cyst nematode in cereal crop agrocenoses of the South of Ukraine. Research methods - temporary field experiments, laboratory research methods, classification and mathematical data processing. Research results: the complex of winter wheat phytonematodes, resistance of 10 wheat varieties to nematodes, a number of wheat fields for the presence of oat nematode, the effectiveness of pre-sowing treatment of wheat seeds to regulate the number of parasitic phytonematodes were studied. It was found that the complex of species of worm-like parasitic phytonematodes in the agrocenosis of winter wheat is represented by three species most characteristic of agrocenoses of the Steppe zone: Pratylenchus pratensis, Ditylenchus dipsaci and Tylenchorhynchus dubius, (Helicotylenchus dihystera - single specimens). Four species of mycogelminthes and 11 species of saprobiotic nematodes were also found. The oat nematode (Heterodera avenae) was registered in Ovidiopol and Ivaniv districts of Odesa region, but was not detected in the experimental plots. The most resistant to phythelminths was the variety Dovira, which recorded a significant (more than 7 times the initial number) decrease in the number of populations of phythelminths (Tylenchorhynchus dubius, Ditylenchus dipsaci, Pratylenchus pratensis). It is advisable to recommend the variety to breeding institutions as a donor of resistance to the complex of worm-like phythelminths. Worm-like phytoparasitic nematode species: Pratylenchus pratensis and Ditylenchus dipsaci dominated in all plots with winter wheat of Storitsa variety (83-427 individuals per 100 g of soil).
