The purpose of the work is standardisation by establishing provisions for general and repeated use in relation to existing or potential tasks aimed at achieving an optimal degree of orderliness in the field of architecture, construction and the building materials industry. The subject of the research is legislative and regulatory acts on smoke and fire protection systems. The research method is analytical. As part of the second stage of the scientific and technical development, an analysis of foreign experience and research results on the requirements for smoke and fire protection systems was carried out. Terms of reference for the development of seven draft regulatory documents were prepared and approved, and the first versions and explanatory notes to 7 regulatory documents were developed and submitted to UkrNDNC for publication. After summarising and analysing the comments, sets of comments were compiled and submitted to TC 25 "Fire Safety and Fire Fighting Equipment". Based on the comments, second editions and explanatory notes to the draft national standards were developed and agreed with the responsible technical committee for standardisation.
