The purpose of the work: complex studies of processes of an ion beam interaction with a solid: determining the effect of ion irradiation on the properties of complex oxides; establishing the mechanism of formation of excited particles during ion irradiation of complex oxides; determination of surface modification processes for these materials to improve existing methods for surfaces diagnostic with accelerated particles, in particular IFS. The research method: ion-photon spectrometry. In this work the main parameters of the IPE of complex oxides and metals included in their composition (in a residual vacuum and with the oxygen inflow to a pressure of 5•10-3 Pa) were studied to identify the processes that determine the release of excited atoms and ions from these targets during ion bombardment. Research results and the possibility of their introduction. The spectral composition and quantum yield of excited metal particles radiation knocked out from surface of complex oxides (aluminum-ytrium garnet, spinel and sapphire) and metals included in their composition have been determined; the types of electron shells of knocked out excited particles have been established; their energy distribution have been determined; the excitation efficiency of a metal particle into a certain state has been calculated depending on the excitation energy. Conclusions are drawn about the mechanisms of formation of excited particles and the effect of ion irradiation on the properties of the surface and volume of a solid within nanoscale dimensions is determined. The results obtained will be implemented into the educational process at the Educational Scientific Institute "Physical and Technical Faculty" of V.N.
