Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  A study of the regular and chaotic dynamics of the particles of a beam that excites high-frequency fields in the range from 1 GHz to 10 GHz in a resonator filled with plasma in a strong external magnetic field was conducted. It is shown that in such a system local instability of the motion of the beam particles can develop due to overlapping of nonlinear resonances. The criterion for the development of stochastic instability was obtained, and the time of decoupling of correlations was estimated. With the help of numerical modeling by the macroparticle method, with the solution of Maxwell's complete equations and the relativistic equations of motion of the beam and plasma particles, it is shown that when the decoupling time of the correlations is shorter than the time of flight of the electron through the resonator, the spectrum of the excited field becomes noisy. A theoretical study of the process of increasing the width of the energy spectrum of the ultrarelativistic electron beam was also conducted. It was found that the specified process can be generalized to anomalous diffusion, and the type of diffusion changes from ballistic at the beginning of the process to normal. It is also shown that in this process the variable type of diffusion is related to the stability parameter of the density distribution function. As the number of collisions increases, the stability parameter increases from one (Landau distribution) to two (Gaussian distribution). Product Description popup.authors Bulyak Evgen V.
