The study explores the role and essence of innovative-adaptive management and its peculiarities for enterprises in the transportation industry. Business process reengineering in ensuring the adaptability of transport enterprises to changes in the external environment is analyzed. The innovative development of environmentally oriented production and operation of motor vehicles is examined. The ways of forming and developing the innovative-investment potential of a transport enterprise are determined. An organizational-economic mechanism for managing the security potential of an innovation-oriented enterprise in the context of ensuring the efficiency of business processes in the transportation industry is developed. Models for determining the level of pollution in cities by automotive transport are proposed.
