N. Sokolovsky» popup.description2 The object of the study is the monitoring of soils contaminated with pesticide residues by the biotesting method. The purpose of the work is improvement of methodological support of environmental monitoring on agricultural lands to prevent their excessive pollution with pesticide residues. Research methods - the research was conducted by summarizing literature, stock, patent and experimental materials, soil, agrochemical field and laboratory research, statistical analysis of the obtained data. Theoretical results – the modern assortment of the most common herbicides in agriculture is analyzed and summarized; identified the most common class of drugs - sulfonylureas, which are characterized by a high degree of phytotoxicity even in small concentrations, which makes it necessary to monitor their negative side effects by biotesting. Practical results - the reaction of plant organisms was investigated to determine the integral assessment of the functional state of agrocenoses contaminated with pesticide residues; methodical approaches to the use of unicellular green algae as biotests of pesticide-contaminated soils were developed. Novelty - a methodology for determining the levels of soil contamination with herbicide residues and a method of biotesting herbicides of different classes in soil and water has been developed. Effectiveness of implementation - the possibility of determining the phytotoxic effect of herbicide residues in concentrations at the level of 0.01 from the concentrations of working solutions and assessing the probability of an imbalance in the growth processes of cultivated plants in the future; shortening the period of remediation of pesticide-contaminated lands by improving the practice of environmental control and soil monitoring. The research results have been tested for on the experimental fields SE "DG "Grakivske" NSC "ISSAR named after O.N. Sokolovsky" Kharkiv region. The field of application is agriculture.
