The purpose of the study is to improve the national regulatory framework for the organisation of practical activities related to the collection of fire statistics. Research methods - analytical (analysis of regulatory documents, including international standards); methods of mathematical statistics (methods of statistical research, methods of correlation and regression analysis, non-parametric methods of studying relationships). Results and novelty - a draft national standard has been developed that defines a methodology for collecting fire statistics that has not yet been available, the adoption of which should create the preconditions for the proper organisation of practical activities for collecting, processing and analysing fire statistics in Ukraine; a draft manual "Fire Statistics" was prepared, the publication of which should improve the methodological level of training of specialists of the SES territorial units in the organisation and maintenance of statistical records of fires and their consequences; analytical materials on fires and their consequences in Ukraine for 2023 were prepared on a monthly basis. Information on implementation: adoption of the national standard on the methodology of collecting statistical data on fires in Ukraine by the order of the National Standardisation Body (SE "UkrNDNC"); publication of the manual "Fire Statistics"; publication of analytical materials on fires and their consequences in Ukraine in the open electronic information resource of the IDU of the State Emergency Service (official website: idundcz.dsns.gov.ua). Recommendations on how to use the results of the work - to be used by the units of the SESU apparatus and units of the SESU territorial bodies in organising and maintaining statistical records of fires and their consequences.
