However, new conflict-causing issues appeared. Among the potential new fault lines in public opinion are attitudes towards Ukrainian emigration and refugees, service in the Armed Forces or evasion of the draft, and collaborative activity. The symbolic content of public consciousness is structured around a sense of pride in modern military and political achievements. The symbolic significance of outstanding Ukrainian artists and athletes, the history of the Cossacks, and folk art is noticeably decreasing. Events and phenomena related to the Soviet past have lost most symbolic weight. The personified component of the symbolic space has also undergone significant changes. The historical and cultural figures of the past became less significant in the public eye, but Ukraine's military and political leaders and legendary military units are largely more significant. It was revealed that the attitude of the respondents toward collaboration is more negative if the perception of the Ukrainian authorities is more positive and that the identification of the Russian side as the enemy and the main culprit of the war unleashed against Ukraine is more unambiguous. A condition for the growth of support for the state government and trust in it is the perception of Ukrainian independence and the democratic system as indisputable values and the ongoing war as a national liberation war. Four groups of respondents were identified according to the subjective length of the present - the period within which the war situation is represented in their minds (one year, up to 5 years, up to 10 years, over ten years). Individuals with the largest subjective length of the present evaluate the current situation (compared to past, peaceful years) less negatively than those who interpret the present in a shorter time perspective.
