Karazin Kharkiv National University popup.description2  From the analysis of the results of long term low-background counter measurements, the half-life of 124Xe relative to the 2K-capture process, which depends on the nature of the neutrino, was estimated for the first time at the statistical significance level of 5.5σ, and the highest lifetime limit was established for 126Xe. In geographically separated precision experiments, clear variation in the constants of alpha decay of short-lived isotopes 212,213,214Po were found and a search was carried out for their possible dependence on external factors. A consistent approach has been found to optimize the irradiation conditions of molybdenum targets in the photoneutron production of the most needed medical radionuclide 99Мо. Previously unknown features of processes near the horizon of black holes, in particular those relating to high-energy collisions of particles and their decay, as well as thermodynamics of a black hole and matter, are theoretically described. The new results open the way to a description of possible processes of energy release from particle collisions in a strong gravitational field, unattainable in laboratory conditions.
