A toolkit was developed: a narrative research guide "How my life changed during the war", the questionnaires to study the peculiarities of common identities manifestation and their interaction in various spheres of life, and a semantic differential. The study was conducted (n= 4303 participants) and analysis of the data was carried out. The types of common identities that are most actualized in the conditions of war and can interact (compete, conflict with each other or harmoniously coexist) in the conditions of a military-political confrontation are defined: ethnic, national, civil, local, European, professional, East Slavic, religious and language. The types of interaction of common identities were defined: direct and reverse. 25 proto-effects and 12 trends of the interaction of common identities in the conditions of interstate military-political confrontation are reached out, in particular, the strengthening of national and civil identities and changes in the very meaning of belonging to the Ukrainian nation, which is manifested in the strengthening of alienation from the Soviet identity and from Russia as the aggressor country. Areas that may contain threats to the identity of Ukrainian citizens have been identified: the immediate environment, Ukrainian authorities, citizens of other states, Russians, and threats within Ukrainian society. Socio-psychological indicators in the field of security related to types of identity are singled out: increased attention to one's own safety, traumatic experience, social orientation of actions, preservation of optimism and an active position in conditions of danger.
