The goal of the project is to develop proposals for improving the relationship between agricultural market participants in the process of moving products from the producer to the consumer. The research used: a dialectical method of understanding market processes and a systematic approach to the study of problems; methods of analytical generalizations, balance sheet, statistical comparison, constructive-calculation, graphic. In the process of research, the price situation on the markets of the main types of plant and animal products and their processing products was evaluated; assessment of the current state of the market for agricultural products; proposals were developed to optimize the economic relations of agricultural market participants in the process of movement of products from the producer to the consumer. Monitoring of the agro-food market situation was carried out and features of the formation of price chains from producers to consumers of final products regarding grain and bread products, fruits and berries, vegetables and potatoes, milk and dairy products, beef and pork, poultry meat were identified. The conceptual mechanism for improving the relations of agricultural market participants is substantiated. The economic effect of the implementation of the results of scientific and research work will be manifested in the removal of the raw material orientation of domestic agricultural exports and the increase of added value created in the middle of the country. Research can be used by state bodies in the development of strategies and programs for the development of the agricultural market and in the formation of pricing policies for the main types of agricultural products.
