Registration Date 25-01-2024 Organization Zhytomyr Polytechnic State University popup.description2 The experience of Ukrainian and foreign scientists on the problems of cutting texturing of surfaces of products made of materials with shape memory effect (SME) is studied. The most promising method in this case is the micromilling method, which allows manufacturing textures of any geometric shape on surfaces, is characterized by a high level of automation and environmental friendliness. At the same time, thermal and force loads on the machined surfaces are minimized, which is fundamentally important for materials with SME that are subject to phase transformations. The rational cutting modes for different types of advanced materials are determined. The correlation of the effect of the minimum thickness of the cut layer with the value of the kinematic rake angle and the scale effect with variations in cutting forces is explained. As a result of the study of the influence of surface microrelief parameters on its wettability characteristics and friction properties of nitinol samples, it was determined that the surface of all samples is better wetted by oil than by water. In both cases, the wetting angles depend on the surface roughness, which corresponds to the Wenzel-Deryagin equation. The optimal geometric parameters of surface textures that provide hydrophilic properties of surfaces and minimize the friction coefficient are determined. Experimental studies have shown that dry face milling results in phase transitions in the near-surface layer of samples, which leads to the formation of martensitic needles and a non-homogeneous surface structure. The reason for these transformations is the high temperatures and cutting forces inherent in dry milling. As a result of applying the concept of multifractals to analyze the geometry of microforms formed on the surface of samples after cutting, multifractal spectra and their main parameters were calculated for the surface of samples processed under different milling modes.
