The purpose of the study is to investigate individual elements (indicators, features) of the water regime of the sloping soils of agrolandscapes in order to assess the level of moisture supply of agricultural plants in different agroclimatic conditions. Research methods - information-monographic, abstract-logical; field, laboratory-analytical; computational and constructive; cartographic. Theoretical results - the general features of the theory of water movement in unsaturated soil, methods for establishing the water retention curve of the soil, pedotransfer functions used to establish the hydraulic properties of the soil are analyzed. Practical results – the inverse modeling method for determination of hydraulic properties of the soil has been developed. The algorithm for creating a corrected map of the soil cover of the catchment basin using the tools of geoinformation systems was developed. Some zonal features of moisture movement parameters in the soil were analyzed. Novelty – a methodical approach to establish hydraulic parameters according to van Genuchten, water retention curve and hydraulic conductivity of the soil using reverse modeling and a soil column has been developed. Effectiveness of implementation is determined by increasing the effectiveness of soil resource management - when planning the structure of sown areas, establishing the planned (expected) yield of agricultural crops, etc. Field of application: agriculture.
